Morning & Afternoon Tea

In the spring of 2008, Greenbank Hotel opened for guests and passers by to enjoy a coffee & cake or biscuit during the day.

We take pride in the standard of coffee that we have on offer as well as our selection of fine teas.

All the cakes and muffins are made fresh in our kitchen daily.

Coffee is available all day to be enjoyed in our courtyard or in the relaxed surroundings of our guest lounge.

Wi Fi access is available throughout the hotel for our guest convenience.

Lunch

Light meals and Lunch are available from 11.00 daily.

Start with a freshly prepared soup of the day or a sandwich of your choice served with a salad & chips or for something a bit more filling, try our delicious Sirloin Steak sandwich. Quiches are a kitchen specialty of the Greenbank and change daily.

Dinner

Served Wednesday to Sunday from 6.00.

Known by locals for the best steaks and generous serves, the Greenbank menu is continuously evolving as we source more and more local and seasonal produce.

 Start the evening with a drink in the guest lounge of finish the night with a coffee and brandy on the sofa.

This is a sample of our current nightly menu :-

Starters

Sweet Potato & Ginger Soup, served with a crusty bread roll.

Parcel of Brie baked in filo Pastry and served in a pool of rich Cranberry Sauce

Grilled Asparagus on Goats Cheese with a sprinkle of Macadamia Nuts.

Garlic Cream Mushrooms, topped with cheddar cheese and served with a warm roll.

Chef’s Combo for Two, vegetable samosas, plaice goujons, potato wedges, onion rings, spicy chicken wings & spring rolls with garlic and chilli dipping sauces.

Main Courses

Succulent Escalope of Chicken crumbed and pan fried. Topped with Ratatouille and Mozzarella Cheese.

 

Abbey farm Lamb Shoulder Chops , served  with a Minted Red Wine & Lentil Sauce  on  Boulangere Potatoes

Wok Fried  Duck, with Cashews, pineapple, noodles and a tang of ginger.

Glyn Ceriog fresh trout , baked in the foil with herbs, butter and lemon, served with your choice of potatoes. 

Fillet of Beef Strips, tossed with mushrooms, brandy & herbs finished with a splash of cream & served with Basmati rice

Thai Green Winter Vegetable Curry, witha rich Coconut & Kaffir Lime leaf Sauce, with Basmati Rice(or Chicken)

Welsh Beef and Pork Products supplied by Abbey Farm of LLangollen

 16oz T-Bone Steak

Prime 10 oz Sirloin Steak

10 oz Rib Eye

10 oz Fillet

10 oz Gammon with pine apple

Served with grilled tomatoes, mushrooms & onion rings, along with your choice of either Boulangere or baby potatoes.

Additional Sauces:- Stilton, Pepper, Leek & Mushroom .

Dessert & Coffee

A blackboard selection of tempting desserts is always available for your pleasure.
